These labs are developing new mathematical methods, theorems and algorithms in service of long-standing industry challenges. Their efforts include use of applied and statistical machine learning to predict rare or unlikely events. Our labs in this area ultimately aspire to generate new means of processing, analyzing and drawing specific conclusions from complex engineered and natural systems around the world.
